I upgraded from the Komplete 11 ultimate and even at that I ended up paying 199 for about 12 new instruments to the pack, of which realistically I would use 10/11 so for me it was a no brainer. I can sell my NI Rick, Alecia's Keys, and Session Horns. If you already have some version of Komplete then the ultimate version is well worth the upgrade. Add the reverbs and pianos and it's no-brainer for me. All I really wanted was to upgrade Session Horns to Pro but for $215 more I get a lot. Vintage, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80s, Modern, Studio Drums, African, Cuban, Drumlab, Action Strikes. I've thought about Omnisphere but all the drums and percussion that come with K10U tip the scale towards NI for me.

no fluff and no bunch of garbage you'll probably never use. before you spend the duckets, checkout all the PluginGuru vids. Personally I find it so far beyond everything else I own that it's a no brainer. It is beyond unfracking believable and it's a unified package that blows the socks off of anything NI has put out beyond Kontakt. I have upgraded historically and foolishly bought all the NI orchestral packages but they have turned out to be totally cheesy compared to Spitfire, Project Sam, and Kirks.Maybe if you're just starting out but if I were I'd just go for Omnisphere 2.

Have upgraded everytime but never use anything beyond kontakt and a bit of Reaktor.
